The story behind Good Munchy Basket

There was a time when snack shopping felt simple. Pick a pack, read a label (not really), and move on.

Until one day… it didn’t. As a mother, she began reading labels more carefully. Preservatives. Artificial flavours. Hidden sugars. Palm oil in almost everything. “Healthy” suddenly meant marketing — not ingredients.

With an educational background in Engineering and MBA, and 18 years of corporate experience, our founder was trained to analyze risk, read the fine print, and ask hard questions. But nothing prepared her for how difficult it was to find truly clean snacks she could confidently give her son.

Yes, options existed — but:

  • Many used preservatives.

  • Many relied heavily on palm oil.

  • Many sounded healthy but weren’t transparent.

  • Discovering genuinely clean brands felt like a treasure hunt.
